Notes you share with your team and your family.

Share a folder with your team or a list with your family, and get back any version anyone saved in the last three years. Underneath, every note is a plain file on your own disk.

Share a folder or one note with the people you choose.

Make each person an editor or a viewer. Their changes reach your laptop and your phone within seconds, and when two people edit the same note at once, both sets of words are kept. Everything you share is encrypted on the device before it leaves, and our servers never see what it says.

  • A team document library. Policies, contracts, templates and meeting notes in one shared folder, with a full record of who changed what.
  • The family shopping list. Anyone can add lemons from their phone, and the list on every other phone updates. A tick in the shop shows up for everyone too.
  • A holiday you plan together. One itinerary in a shared note, with each of you editing from your own vault.
  • Updates for a client. Share the project folder as view only, so they can read every update without changing a word.

Needs Jotura Sync on both sides, yours and theirs. £4 a month each.

Tables and checklists, with no Markdown to learn.

Type / on a new line and choose what you need, whether that's a table, a checklist, a heading or a callout. Click a table cell to edit it, or drag a column edge to make it wider. Select text and the toolbar offers bold, italic, highlight and link. People who know Markdown can type it and watch it format, and the file underneath stays plain Markdown either way.

  • Dinners for the week. A table of days and meals, with the shopping list as a checklist underneath.
  • Every task in one place. Tick boxes stay in the notes where you wrote them, and the Tasks pane gathers them all. A date such as @due(2026-10-30) puts a task on that day.
  • A reading tracker. One row per book, with columns for author, status, rating and the date you finished.
  • A packing list. A checklist you tick off as things go in the case.

Bring back any version, from anyone, for three years.

Every synced note keeps its history. Open it to see who changed what and when, marked line by line, and one click brings an older version back.

  • A price that changed. See that Mia edited the quote on Tuesday, then restore the version from before.
  • The paragraph you cut. You deleted it on Monday and want it on Friday. Monday's version still has it.

History comes with Jotura Sync. £4 a month.

Plain files, and every one of them opens here.

Your vault is an ordinary folder on your disk, readable by any app and copied by any backup, which is why there is no export button. Code, SQL, CSV, JSON and plain text open in a proper code editor with highlighting for over a hundred languages. They autosave and sync like your notes.

  • Queries beside the notes that explain them. Keep the monthly SQL in the same folder as the report it feeds.
  • A project and everything you wrote about it. Code, config and design notes in one folder, all in one search.

Read on your phone and keep every highlight as a note.

EPUB and PDF books and CBZ comics in your vault open in the Jotura Android app, and your place follows you between devices. Hold on a passage to highlight it in one of four colours, with a comment if you like. Each book gets a plain Markdown note of its highlights, yours to read and rewrite on any device.

  • Study notes from a textbook. Highlight on the train, then build your revision notes around the quotes at your desk.
  • A commonplace book. Every line worth keeping from everything you read, gathered in one folder you can search.

The reader is in the Android app, and books reach your phone through Jotura Sync. £4 a month.

Ask your AI agent for a page, and read it here.

An agent such as Claude Code can write an HTML file into your vault like any other file, and Jotura shows it as a finished page with its charts and colours in place. Scripts stay switched off, so a page can only show you things. The source is one click away.

  • Build a page of this month's spending by category from my finance notes.
  • Turn my running log into a chart of weekly distance for the year.
  • Make a one-page status report for the Harper project with open tasks and the next deadlines.
  • Lay out the Kyoto trip day by day, with addresses and booking references from my notes.

Drop in a PDF and search what's inside it.

PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets and slide decks live beside your notes. Jotura writes a searchable Markdown copy of each one automatically, so a search for the notice period finds clause 7 of a lease you filed last year. The original stays a real file that opens in its own app. The converter ships inside Jotura and runs offline on your own computer.

  • The house folder. The lease, the boiler manual, the warranty cards and the council tax letters, all searchable on the evening something breaks.
  • Files from colleagues. The Word document and the spreadsheet they emailed sit with your project notes and turn up in the same search.

Everything else in the app.

  • Link notes by typing [[, with suggestions that include each note's aliases
  • Rename or move a note and every link to it updates
  • Tags inline or in frontmatter, nested with a slash, and a Tags pane to browse them
  • Daily notes, with a calendar that takes you to any day
  • Tasks that can be in progress, cancelled, forwarded or a question as well as done
  • New notes from your own templates
  • Callouts, footnotes, maths, embeds, highlights, comments and block links
  • Source mode for the times you want to see the Markdown
  • Tabs, quick open, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts
  • Drag notes and folders around the sidebar to reorganise
  • Search by exact phrase or whole word, with or without matching case
  • End-to-end encrypted sync across Mac, Windows, Linux and Android
  • A recovery phrase that acts as a spare key to your synced notes
  • An Obsidian vault opens as it is, and Obsidian can stay open on it
  • Works offline, with nothing you do waiting on the internet
  • No tracking or ads anywhere in the app
  • The jotura command line tool, so scripts and AI agents can read and edit your notes
  • Agent memory kept as notes in your vault, with a timeline to browse it in the app
